About the Riverside hotel

The Riverside Hotel has a rich history that dates back to 1957, when it was built to serve the Tailem Bend district as a community hotel. These days it offers versatile spaces and beautifully renovated bars with superb meals and spectacular river views. Based right on the Murray River, it’s the best place to catch the breathtaking sunsets over the Jervois and Murray Bridge plains and a great scene for relaxing and socialising during daylight hours.

The Hotel is conveniently located on the Princes Highway in Tailem Bend, a leisurely one-hour trip from Adelaide’s tollgate. It has a family-friendly atmosphere and welcomes children.

Family Friendly

We welcome all families, including children. Our hotel has a very strong social club with around 100 members and kids are just as important to welcome as mums and dads!

Kids get to have fun with fishing competitions and a visit from Santa every year as well as tenpin bowling events.

We also provide a kids’ entertainment area with several games so they can amuse themselves while parents relax.

Courtesy Bus

A lot of locals drink here, but as far as the publicans are concerned, there’s no place for drink-driving. They provide a free courtesy bus to pick you up and drop you home if you’re locally based. We are happy to do surrounding areas too.

The late run can be a bit rowdy! Conditions apply and bookings are essential.
